Infant Sleep Support
In-home Consultations & Classes
Sleep - noun. "a natural periodic suspension of consciousness during which the powers of the body are restored" (Merriam-Webster Dictionary).
As parents to be, and new parents, sleep is a hot topic. In fact, in our culture, a "good baby" is typically one that is defined as a "good sleeper". But many parents find themselves in a fog or a continuous cycle of sleeplessness trying to survive the first year and realizing that their baby doesn't sleep through the night, or wants to be constantly held. It may takes its toll on the relationship, leaving couples disconnected, and typically leaving one or both parents exhausted, drained both physically and emotionally.
Understanding infant sleep is a game changer.
It is important for new parents to know and understand what normal infant sleep looks like, the reasons behind specific behaviours tied to sleep and naps (especially within that first year), and to recognize your child's temperament as well. Infant sleep is both a science and an art!
As infant sleep educators, we work with parents who are faced with sleep challenges and are looking for an alternate solution to the sleep training books and solutions on the market today. Parents should be empowered and encouraged by the process, so we work together to uncover the roots behind the issues and create holistic and realistic solutions that create long lasting change.
