It's that time of year again - resolution time!
If you are like me your resolutions involve working to improve your health. A huge and often overlooked part of our health is our exposure to toxins. We usually don't think of our cosmetics as a source of toxicity but the average woman is exposed to 168 chemicals EVERY day (men are exposed to about 85 chemicals daily).
I invite you to start your resolutions early and join my #ditchdecember challenge
As a child I always enjoyed getting dressed up and going trick or treating with my family and friends. I even more so enjoyed eating lots of candy! If you know me, you likely know I enjoy candy (I don't have it often, but when I do I REALLY enjoy it). I can still remember my favourite Halloween treats (Starburst, Sour Patch Kids, Popeye Candy Sticks, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups). These are fun memories that make Halloween so nostalgic and exciting. However, with all that being said I believe there are ways to limit excessive sugar intake during Halloween and enjoy your treats mindfully.
Tips to Help Your Children Enjoy Halloween Candy Mindfully
Prior to having children, I envisioned myself as a working mother. I really enjoyed working and when I became pregnant with my first son, I knew (or thought I knew) that I would have no issues returning to the work following maternity leave. I mean, I’ve seen other parents in the office return from maternity/parental leave. They all seemed to adjust fine; still staying on top of their workload and tasks at home.
I thought I could have it all:
Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary. My hubby has planned a weekend away and we made arrangements with the grandparents to stay with my babies.
I need time away. I truly do.
